US stock markets are closed in observance of US Presidents Day. The DTG founders will resume posting regular content tomorrow. In the meantime, our friends over at MrTopStep are holding an Open House this week:
A variety of industry professionals are lined up for presentations, including new DTG resident pro Peter Davies, founder of Jigsaw Trading. The DTG founders also usually participate in the MrTopStep Open House, but unfortunately, scheduling conflicts have kept us from making this one.
Just a heads up to let you all know Jigsaw Trading founder Peter Davies is now hosting an orderflow scalping specific board as a resident professional on the Discovery Trading Group (DTG) member forums.
For those not familiar with the DTG member forum, it is a unique dojo focused on trader development via mentorship. We’ve known Pete for a number of years and spent many late nights on calls putting the trading world to rights 😉. What many may not be aware of is he’s actually been a member of the dojo for many years, but is now stepping up to contributing exclusive strategy content as a resident pro. In the endless sea of charlatans in the trading education space, he’s a breath of fresh air. Very much the real deal and we are lucky to have him.
DTG is now widely known as a unique dojo focused on collective mentorship, helping struggling traders piece together all the building blocks needed for any professional level process/program. It’s all about the process of developing the skills along with understanding the role of sound risk and bankroll management in adding edge to those skills. Members quickly discover it really doesn’t matter what strategy variant you choose to execute, but rather the integration of the other critical pieces of the puzzle along with having reasonable expectations in line with your peers in the industry.
-Have you focused almost entirely on your entry criteria jumping from process to process with limited to no success?
-Do you need help developing risk and bankroll management models which are adaptive to ongoing market changes and add edge on their own to your process?
-Are your expectations reasonable? What sort of overall results and variance should you expect with various risk overlays & capital use efficiencies for your strategies?
Answering these questions and implementing solutions are the beating heart of the community. Pete has added scalping specific educational content to the growing family of strategy variants in the forums and will support that with an ongoing example series showing what the execution of that strategy might look like “in the wild”. The idea is to follow along and ask questions as you develop your OWN process.
In the coming weeks one of the founding members RG and Pete will be doing a webinar event which is part of an ongoing series called TraderTalk. In this event we will be discussing the missing pieces of the puzzle retail traders never seem to put together and finish with an extended Q&A. Stay tuned and we hope to see you all there.
